It allows the foot to move in any direction, and has precision bearings to allow long "slides". The wheels can pivot 360-degrees and allow the slide-foot to be in any orientation. New curlers who have learned on the simulator quickly make the transition to ice and will never look back. Standard curling brooms, broom handles or hockey sticks can be used for balance to achieve the normal on-ice slide position. A complete curling simulation system for instructing large groups in a gymnasium environment should consist of 1 or 2 Land-Sliders, and a minimum of 8 stones (4 per team, yellow or red handles). For the more experienced curler, a single Land-Slider and Stone-Simulator will allow you to work on your slide position and stretch out those curling-specific muscles while perfecting your grip & release of the stone.
